Bedford RDC Approves ECS for Dispatch Furniture for new Bedford Police Dispatch

BEDFORD - MARCH 13, 2023 - The Bedford Redevelopment Commission approved the bid from ECS for new furniture for their dispatch center at the new Bedford Police Station on 16th Street.

ECS bid of $82,500 was awarded by Bedford RDC after Bedford Chief Terry Moore recommended this style and layout for the dispatch center.


Chief Moore said this configuration will make it easier for dispatchers to communicate with one another.



In other business, the RDC approved the invoice from Lochmueller Group for the Bedford Spider Creek storage project. The invoice for $92,234 approved from the $2 million the RDC have agreed to pay for the project.



The final action of the Bedford RDC came when the payment to Midwestern Engineers in the amount of $507,112.65 was approved during the afternoon meeting. In addition, Bedford Police Chief updated the members on the progress that was being made in the construction of the project. Reports that the project is about 50 percent complete.



At this time crews are working on the 5th Street Stormwater Mitigation Project to address flooding concerns in the area of 5th Street and Lincoln Avenue.
