Bedford Public Library and Lawrence County Soil &Water Conservation Celebrate Earth Day

BEDFORD - ( April 22, 2022) - The Bedford Public Library and Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation is celebrating Earth Day by giving out trees and seeds.



The trees and seeds are available while supply last. They are being given out to library patrons on the parking lot of the Bedford Public Library.



" We are happy to do this, the Bedford Public Library has done this now for the last several years," Nathan Watson Director Bedford Public Library.


Lawrence County Soil & Water Conservation are handing out seeds today


The trees given away include:

  • Redbud

  • Buttonbush

  • Gray Dogwood

  • Scarlet Oak

  • Red Maple

Next week the Lawrence Count Soil & Water Conservation will be at Wilson Park in partnership with the City of Bedford to plant a tree on Friday April 29th, 10:00 a.m. The public is welcome to attend.
