BEDFORD - FEBRUARY 14, 2023 - The Bedford Police Department new station is progressing according to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore. Chief Moore is anticipating the construction project is expected to be completed by July.

The Bedford Redevelopment Commission approved to pay Midwestern Engineers and Fox Construction for $376,029.
Midwestern Engineers for engineering and filing fees for the Bedford Police Department project in the $33,000.
HPC Internet Services once the products are received in the amount of $24,157.83.
Fox Construction 6931 South Old State Road 37 was awarded the bid for the project in the amount of $2,024,000 for the base bid on the project.

The Bedford Police Station will have a new dispatch center.
The current Bedford Police Station is outdated, with space restrictions, safety to the public was a concern in the transporting of prisoners in and out of the current facility.
