BEDFORD - AUGUST 15, 2022 - Bedford Mayor Sam Craig swore in and welcomed Bedford Police Officer Taylor Daughtery Monday afternoon.

Taylor did not have any previous law enforcement experience. She attended International Business College, Indianapolis, Indiana.
" I have interest in law enforcement over the last four years. I finally took the step in applying to the Bedford Police Department," said Daughtery.

" I have always wanted to be involved in helping the community and being able to assist people who have not been able to help themselves," Daughtery continued.
Daughtery currently resides in Bedford and has family in Orleans, Indiana. Her family attended the swearing in ceremony.
