BEDFORD PARKS DEPARTMENT SCHEDULE SEVERAL UPCOMING EVENTS - PROGRAMS

BEDFORD - NOVEMBER 18, 2022 - The Bedford Parks Department has scheduled several upcoming events for November and December. Mark your calendars for fun for the family and children.


Bedford Parks Department is ready to spread some Holiday cheer


LETTERS TO SANTA DUE BY NOVEMBER 28TH


It's that time of year! Information sheets for Letters from Santa are now available and are due at the Parks Office NO LATER than Monday November 28th at 11:30am. If you would like a form emailed to you, please comment below with your email address. Forms can also be picked up at the Parks Office.


THE BUTCH FISH DAM RUN NOVEMBER 25TH at 8:00 a.m.


The Butch Fish 10-Mile Dam Run and Ride is November 25th starting at 8:00 a.m.


Runners and walkers are invited to the Butch Fish 10-Mile Dam Run to Williams along the Milwaukee Trail for unlimited fun run/walk. No shirts or prizes just for fun, fellowship, and flapjacks.


The event will begin at the Milwaukee Trail on R Street and will end at Williams Dam. Charlie Tidd's will await those at the end of the trail. A run or walk will make a 20-mile adventure.


A suggested donation of $10 will go towards the Bedford's Parks Department.


SANTA CLAUSE IS COMING TO (TOWN) BEDFORD


Santa and Mrs. Clause will stop by in Bedford from the North Pole. The event will take place on December 8th - 10th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. nightly.


Families will be able to stop by the Otis Park Bath House and purchase tickets for sleigh rides for $2 visit with Santa. While waiting for the rides children can color and take a bite of cookies, and refreshments thanks to the Tri-Kappa Sorority.


Children can sit and listen to a story.


ALTRUSA CLUB DONATES PICNIC TABLES AND BENCHES


The Altrusa International added picnic tables and benches to the Bedford Park system. In November the group was able to add a picnic table at the Thornton Park playground, 3 benches at Otis Park Golf Course driving range, and benches at the Garden Park.



PICKLE BALL A HIT WITH BEDFORD RESIDENTS


The Pickle Ball is full for the winter season. The new program has picked up interest with the parks department offering both fall and winter teams. For more information call the Bedford Parks Department at 812 -275-5692.
