BEDFORD – FEBRUARY 18, 2023 -Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Bob Cline sentenced a Bedford man to five and a half years in the Indiana Department of Correction Thursday.

Justin Robert Steven Garrison, 34, pleaded guilty to Escape, a Level 6 felony, with a habitual
offender enhancement, as a part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana.
The plea agreement, negotiated by Prosecutor Sam Arp, III, offered Garrison two and a half years in prison for Escape, with three years added for being a habitual offender.
On April 21, 2022 Garrison escaped from home detention, and again done this again on February 15, 2023. Garrison has a lengthy criminal history in Lawrence County.
