Amy Redman seeks Lawrence County Council District 1

" I am a wife and mother, raising my family in rural Lawrence County alongside my husband Patrick. I’ve dedicated my livelihood to educating our youth, focusing on career and technical education," said Redman.

After graduating from Mitchell High School, Redman earned a bachelor’s degree at Purdue University in Family & Consumer Sciences Education.

" I was fortunate to be hired by Mitchell Community Schools following graduation, where I spent eleven years educating students at Mitchell High School. My love for utilizing technology in the classroom led to a job with Five Star Technology Solutions as an instructional technology coach, teaching teachers how to best use technology to advance educational practices, Redman explained.

"After earning a master’s degree in Career and Technical Education from Ball State University opened the door to my current role as the director of the North Lawrence Career Center. These roles emphasize the importance of commitment, communication, and consistency, "

Redman grew up around livestock and continuing to raise cattle taught her the value of a dollar and how to manage the resources available.

" I’ve worked alongside people with different backgrounds, values, and beliefs in various volunteer roles with several different community organizations. Workforce development and community engagement are two of Redman's passions.

"As our youth develop their talents and prepare to join our workforce, I want to ensure our community remains an attractive place to call home. With solid fiscal management and fresh conservative ideals, we will continue to build our way to a brighter future," Redman concluded.
