WILLIAMS - MARCH 28, 2023 - No one was injured Tuesday morning when a vehicle landed in flooded waters in Williams on Indiana State Road 450.

There were no high-water signs to warn motorists of the flooded highway.
The incident took place around 8:00 am this morning, with the vehicle recovered from the flood waters just after 11:30 am.
The White River continues to rise at this time, and the normal places continue to flood.
Emergency personnel have been responding to flood related emergencies throughout Southern Indiana. Water rescues have been reported in Brown, Jackson, and Washington Counties during the last rain event last week. More than 4.1 inches fell in the Mitchell area.
Motorists are reminded to never drive in flood waters.
