Two Missing Person Reports in Lawrence County Sunday - Both Quickly Located

LAWRENCE COUNTY - JUNE 13, 2022 - On Sunday there were two missing persons reports in Lawrence County with both people quickly located.


In the first incident, Oolitic Marshal’s Office responded to a residence on Coveyville Road in Heltonville, at around 1:23 am on Sunday 06/12/2022, to assist Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputy Sergeant Tyler Ogden, and Deputy Whitney Daugherty, and Deputy Joshua Rhoades and his canine partner Dusty, with searching for a missing adult male individual.


K-9 Deny


Canine Deny Joe was deployed to search several locations with officers, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded with a drone, and during this time, the individual returned to his residence.


Officers spoke with the individual, and they learned that Deny was tracking in the same areas where the individual was, prior to him returning home. Job well done to all officers.


Later Sunday afternoon Lawrence County Sheriff's Department and Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 block of Noe Road to help locate a female that was reported missing by family members. The call was reported at 1:01 p.m. Sunday.


While Marion Township units was responded to the residence the fire department came into contact with the female at near the intersection of Cody Road. The female was located within thirty minutes of the call.


No injuries were reported in both incidents.
