Two Major Fires Reported in Bloomfield Wednesday

BLOOMFIELD - MAY 24, 2023 - Bloomfield Fire Department had 2 major structure fires on Wednesday.



The first fire was located at the newly built Napa store and the other was downtown in Aggy’s Funhouse.

The first fire was reported around 6:30 am Wednesday morning on at NAPA Store in Bloomfield for a reported attic fire. The building suffered minor damage.


Firefighters were able to quickly bring that fire under control.


The second fire was reported at 11:30 am on Main Street to the Bloomfield Square. Firefighter were able to quickly contain that blaze.


Bloomfield firefighters were assisted by the Richland Fire Department, Switz City Fire Department, Highland Fire Department, Worthington Fire Department, and Taylor Fire Department.


No one was hurt or any injuries.


Duke Energy, Eastern Heights, Bloomfield PD, Indiana State Police, Greene County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.

The fires are under investigation at this time.
