LAWRENCE COUNTY - FEBRUARY 2, 2023 - Due to only one candidate, Billie Tumey, filing for the vacant Bedford City Clerk-Treasurer position, and only one candidate,
Tumey has also filed for the position in the 2023 Municipal Elections in the City of Bedford.
" I always lived in the City of Bedford and was interested in running for an election in the city. Serving as Lawrence County Clerk is similar to the position at the Clerk/Treasurer office in the City of Bedford," said Tumey when she filed on January 4, 2023.
Tumey was the first to file for election on the first day of candidate filings.

Christopher Noel, filing for the vacant Marshall Township Trustee Board seat by the set deadlines, the Lawrence County Republican Party will be cancelling the scheduled caucuses for both positions set for Saturday, February 4th, 2023.
Christopher Noel was appointed to the Marshal Township Advisory Board by appointment of the Republican Party
Christopher Noel ran in 2022 for Marshal Township Trustee but was beaten by Jan Kirk who won the seat for Marshal Township Trustee.
