Tell City Indiana Police Department and Community Mourns the Loss of First Female Officer in Dept.

TELL CITY - JULY 2, 2023 - The Tell City, Indiana Police Department and community mourns the loss of the department's first female police officer.

Tell City Police Officer Sgt. Heather Glenn

According to Indiana State Police and a suspect in a domestic dispute were shot and killed early Monday morning at the Perry County Memorial Hospital.

Tell City Police officer, Sgt. Heather Glenn, 47 and Sean Hubert, age 34 both died after a gun battle between multiple law enforcement officers.

Last year, Tell City Police Sgts. with the photo taken last year when Glenn's father, Sgt. Bob Glenn (retired) joined Sgt. Heather Glenn on a ride along.

At 12:30 am, Tell City Sgt. Heather Glenn and other police officers responded to a disturbance at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell, City.

An altercation unfolded at the hospital between police officers and 34-year-old Sean Hubert, and shots were fired.

Glen and Hubert were shot in an exchange of gun fire and both died at the scene.

Glenn worked for the Perry County Sheriff's Department and the tight knit Tell City Police Department for more than 20 years.

Tell City Police Chief Derrick Lawalin, asked for the publics thoughts and prayers not only for the law enforcement group, but also for the family of the suspect.
