Spring Fest - Saturday Starts with 5K

The Springville Community Academy is having a Spring Fest to help raise funds for the new charter school. The event is a one day only event and is not to be confused with the Springville Heritage Festival that was held annually.



" This is an opportunity for the community to come together and rejuvenating experience for people," said Karrie Osmon Community Volunteer.


Perry Township always take pride in providing an education for its children. The community worked to make sure a local school remains in Perry Township. After NLCS decided to close the Springville Elementary School the community worked to bring elementary and middle school back into the small community


This is not only a way to rally around the opening of the Springville Community Academy, but plans are for this to be an annual event to support the new school.


The Springville Park was established in 2004 by donations for the community to have a place to walk, play, and fellowship


The charter school is currently accepting enrollment to provide a public education with private school benefits.


Springville has always been a farming community


Springville Academy is partnering with Indiana Agriculture and Technology School to offer a hybrid education opportunity for students in 7th and 8th grades.


The Springville Community has always been an agriculture community. The Springville Feeder Auction is still going strong in 2022


The day's events will also help recognize Perry Township's Bicentennial and there will be something for everyone to enjoy according to organizers.


The Boy Scout Troop 343 is still active in Springville which was first established in 1954 and uses the Springville Community Academy as its meeting place now

  • 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament - Springville Academy Playground Area/Cafeteria

  • 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Vendor Market in the Springville Academy Gym

  • 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Kids Carnival Springville Academy Gym

  • 11:30 a.m. Best Pie Contest Springville Academy Commons Area

  • 12:00 p.m. Lunch Basket Auction in the Springville Commons Area

  • 4:00 p.m. Livestock Kissing Contest Ceremony front lawn of the Springville Academy

  • 6:00 p.m. Alumni Dinner for old school classmates and for those who have relocated in Springville over the last several years.

  • All events will take place rain or shine at the Springville Academy located at 126 Brick Street in Springville

" We like for the community both old and young, new and the past to come together. The community is what the school is about, with many things that will be centered around the school and not just education," Holly Arnold added.



The Alumni Dinner is a catered meal and throughout the evening attendees will be taken on a journey from the past into the future of both Springville Community Academy.
