LAWRENCE COUNTY - DECEMBER 6, 2022 - The fees and schedules for the upcoming sheriff sales will be increased as requested by the administrator for the upcoming sheriff sale.
Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham desired to enter into a services contract to support in conducting a foreclosure of an estimated 58 parcels of property.
Under Indiana Code 32-29-7-3 authorizes the Sheriff of each county to charge an administrative fee of not to exceed the amount for costs attributed to the administration of the sale. The costs of the fees and schedules will be paid by the purchasers of the property.
The ordinance establishes Sheriff Sale Program authorized by the Lawrence County Commissioners. This allows the sheriff to enter into a contract to administer the extensive sale with a contractor.
The cost of the services is: Contractual Services - $180.00 per cause number and Sheriff Cost - $120.00 per cause number.
