SEYMOUR - JUNE 20, 2022 - On June 17, 2022, at approximately 1:15 PM, the Seymour Police Department received a report of a dead body in a small creek on the East side of the Burkart Blvd. bridge between E. 4th St. and E. Tipton St.
When Seymour Police officers and investigators arrived on scene, they observed a deceased male in the creek.
It appeared that the individual had been there several days.
The deceased was removed from the creek and taken to the morgue at Schenck Medical Center.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.
The cause of death is pending an autopsy. The Seymour Police Department was assisted by the Jackson County Coroner’s Office, the Seymour Fire Department, and Jackson County EMS.
