LAWRENCE COUNTY - JUNE 22, 2022 - The Lawrence County Republican Party will be holding a caucus for the vacant Lawrence County Recorder position left vacant due to the untimely passing of Myron Rainey.
The Caucus will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 at 1pm, at Smokin Jim’s BBQ in Bedford, IN.
Lawrence County Republican Party Precinct Committee-people will gather to vote on any candidates who file with the Lawrence County clerk for the vacant seat.
If the caucus is uncontested with a single candidate by the day of the caucus, the caucus will be unnecessary and the single candidate will be appointed. If no candidate files, then the Lawrence County Republican party will make an appointment to the vacant seat.
