Reported Shots Fired in Washington, Indiana Sends Several Police Officers to Area
WASHINGTON - JULY 14, 2022 - That approximately 5:50 PM, Officers responded to the area of NW 14th St and Jackson St after receiving a report that a male subject had shot at someone. Officers from the Washington Police Department and Daviess County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene to find that nobody had been injured. The suspects fled the scene prior to Law Enforcement’s arrival.
A Washington Police Department Detective and the Washington Police Department Emergency Response Team was requested to respond to the scene. While investigating, Officers had reason to believe that threats were made by individuals involved to go to Perdue Farms in Washington as well. Due to those threats, Officers from Washington Police Department, Daviess County Sheriff's Department, Indiana State Police, and Indiana Conservation Officers responded to that location. At this time, the suspect has not attempted to go there, and Law Enforcement presence will remain on scene.
At this time, Officers and Detectives from multiple agencies are actively working the investigation and will provide an update when available.
