Partnering OSHA Training and Local Manufacturing Employers

BEDFORD - AUGUST 10, 2022 - The Lawrence County Workforce Coalition and Stone City Products, Inc. are currently looking to partner with all local manufacturing employers to offer OSHA training in a workshop format to their employees.

Training would include the option of an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry or a 30-Hour General Industry course. The 10-hour workshop, known as “OSHA 10” provides employees at all levels with an awareness of common job-related

safety and health hazards and instructs them on how to stay safe on the job through hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention. Upon completion of this one full-day and one half-day workshop, participants will receive their OSHA 10 Card.

The 30-hour workshop, known as “OSHA 30,” provides employees of all levels all the training provided in an OSHA 10 workshop plus recordkeeping requirements and common management responsibilities. Upon completion of this four

full-day workshop, participants will receive their OSHA 30 Card.

Lawrence County Economic Growth Council Director of Career Development Joe Timbrook says, “Each participant will leave the training with a clear understanding of worker’s rights and employer responsibilities; fire prevention and emergency response; electrical safety; fall protection; how to prevent workplace hazards, and much more.” “Employers today understand that training and development directly links to employee motivation and retention as training can critically impact both individual satisfaction and business performance.”

If you are a manufacturing employer interested in getting involved to bring OSHA training to Lawrence County, please contact Joe Timbrook at 812-583-1095 or joe@lawrencecountygrowth.com.
