Over 400 Take Part in This Year's Limestone Captial Half Marathon on Saturday

BEDFORD - OCTOBER 3, 2022 - Approximately 400 people took part in the 2022 Limestone on Saturday. The event raises funds for the Bedford Parks Department for programing throughout the year.




Many have taken part of the event every year, and others like to try it out for the very first time.



The Springville Community Academy students came for the very first time, while the Lincoln Elementary School students have taken part in the event for several years. The event is a good event for people of all ages.



The first to cross the finish line in the Men's Division was Andrew Bayer, Bloomington, Indiana with a time of 1:07:22:28 and the first lady to cross the finish line was Asia Seidt of Pee Wee Valley, Kentucky with a time of 1:24:35:50 to be the first in the Women's Division.



Brycen Long, finished at 20:57 in the 5K





Bedford Police Department and Bedford Fire Department manned various intersections to protect the participants, and many other volunteers manned water stations and rest areas along the way.
