OOLITIC - JULY 28, 2022 - Oolitic Town Marshal James Harrington and K-9 Handler announced the passing of one of its Police Working Dog Gretta Lynn this morning.

According to Harrington, Gretta Lynn got sick very quick. The dogs are used to sniff drugs and sometimes they need Narcan themselves.
Oolitic Town Council member Johnny Bob Dillion told Lawrence County Zephyr that the flag at the town hall is at half-staff to honor Grett Lynn.

" I want to thank the Bedford Police Department, Lawrence County Prosecutor's office, Lawrence County Sheriff's Department and Oolitic Marshal Office who escorted Canine Greta Lynn to Cresthaven Funeral Home. this afteroon. ( Wednesday), " said Oolitic Marshal James Harrington.
" I want to thank Robb Herr Indiana University Health Police Officer Rob Herr and the staff of Cresthaven for taking care of Gretta after she arrived at their facility. I want to thank the Town of Oolitic, IU Health Bedford, and anyone else for their thoughts and messages that I have received regarding Gretta Lynn," concluded Marshal Harrington.
