One Transported to Hospital in Friday Evening Crash

MONROE COUNTY - MAY 14, 2022 - A traffic accident at the intersection of South Fairfax Road and East Dillman Roads sent one person to the hospital Friday night.

The incident reported around 7:30 p.m. Friday.

When emergency personnel arrived, they found one of the vehicles on its side with a person laying on top of it, being helped by bystanders.

Firefighters from the Monroe Fire Protection District stabilized the vehicle for safety and moving the patient off the car.

One person was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital with minor injuries, and two other patients were checked at the scene but refused transport to the hospital.

The accident is being investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. Monroe Fire Protection District and IU Lifeline Ambulance Service also responded to the accident.
