One Transported to Hospital After Semi Overturns on Huron Williams Road

HURON - NOVEMBER 14, 2022 - One person was transported to the hospital after a semi-overturned in the 2100 block of Huron/Williams Road. The person was transported to IU Health Bedford with non-emergent from the scene.


Huron/Williams Road will be closed for several hours after a semi-overturned in the 2100 block near Clarks Ferry Road


The call reporting the accident came in at 9:33 a.m. Monday morning with emergency personnel from Bedford Fire Department, Huron Volunteer Fire Department, Indian Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, IU Lifeline Orange County Ambulance, Seals Ambulance, and Lawrence County Sheriff's Department dispatched to the incident.


The driver was initially reported as trapped in the semi.



Firefighters from the Huron and Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department have the roadway closed at Port Williams Road and Clarks Ferry Road while the diesel fuel and corn that spilled on to the roadway will be cleaned up.



The driver was unsure of what caused him to lose control and overturn.


Lawrence County Sheriff's Department is investigating the accident.
