One Person Sought Medical Attention from House Fire Thursday Night

SPRINGVILLE - (April 1, 2022) - Center-Jackson Fire Territory was dispatched for a structure fire at approximately 7:52 pm on March 31.




Center -Jackson Fire Territory were notified that flames were visible in the roof and possibly one person needing medical attention.


Within the first 8 minutes of dispatch CJFT had Engine 21, Engine 2, Tanker 2 and Command 22 on scene with 10 fire fighters.



Upon arrival smoke and flames were visible from both sides of the residence. Center-Jackson Fire Territory performed an offensive attack by deploying crews inside and on the roof to attack the fire. The fire was quickly knocked down by doing these actions and all fire was kept in the ceiling and roof line.

The fire was started by a flue fire in the carport that spread to the home.

All of the personal belongings were able to be saved but some had some water damage. The person that was possibly in need of medical attention signed a Signature of Release with the ambulance service.

Because of the location fire and number of the fire hydrants, extra departments were called in for water supply and manpower.
