One dead and two others shot in Washington Indiana Sunday night - Suspect identified

WASHINGTON - FEBRUARY 6, 2024 - On February 4, 2024, at approximately 10:51 PM, the Washington Police Department was notified by Daviess County Central Dispatch of a disturbance involving a firearm occurring at a residence in the 1800 block of McCormick Ave.



During the course of the disturbance, three people in the home were shot and one was pronounced deceased on the scene. The other two individuals were transported to the hospital as a result of their injuries. The suspect was also injured on scene and was transported to the hospital as a result of their injuries.


The three individuals were 58 year old Aracely Torres, 57 year old Concepcion Rodriguez Martinez, and 35 year old Yarely Santiago Torres. Aracely was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Both Concepcion and Yarely are currently hospitalized.


The suspect in this incident has been identified as 38 year old Abel Dubon Castillo.


Dubon Castillo is currently hospitalized as well from the injuries sustained during the incident.


These injuries were not inflicted by Law Enforcement. Assisting throughout has been the Indiana State Police, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Daviess County Prosecutor's Office, Daviess County Coroner’s Office, and the Daviess County
