One Airlifted from Monday Morning Vehicle vs Motorcycle Accident in Mitchell

MITCHELL - JUNE 27, 2022 - One person was airlifted to U of L Hospital in Louisville, KY following a vehicle verses motorcycle accident at the intersection of Doc Hamiliton Blvd and Rabbitsville Road.

The 911 call reporting the accident came in at 11:45 a.m. Monday morning.

A completed accident report is not available at this time.

One person was reported as thrown from the motorcycle emergency medical personnel from the Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department arrived quickly at the scene and started medical care.

IU Lifeline Ambulance service transported the patient from the accident to the landing zone.

An air ambulance from Stat Flight was dispatched to a landing zone close to the accident location.

Mitchell Police Department, Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department, Stat Flight Air ambulance, IU Health Ambulance, and Mikels Towing responded to the scene.
