Northbound Lane State Road 37 Closed at On Ramp Due to Powerline Down

BEDFORD - MAY 14, 2022 - Bedford Police Department would like to inform everyone that the northbound overpass of State Road 37, just north of the White River bridge, will be closed until further notice.

At this time, it is unknown the duration of the closure. This is due to a power line across the roadway making it impassable.

The time of the incident was around 4:15 p.m.

Duke Energy has been notified and when they arrive to fix the issue the southbound lane through the rock-cut will also be closed.

PLEASE use extra caution as you adjust your route to insure everyone detouring around this can do so safely.
