North Lawrence Community Schools Board of Trustees Approves Purchases

BEDFORD - MAY 23, 2022 - The North Lawrence Community School Board of Trustees approved some purchases during their regular scheduled meeting Thursday night.

These purchases included a Blackboard notification system by going to this system the corporation saved almost $13,000 a year. The board also approved a 24/7 bus surveillance service plan which is an update to software update to the current system. This would cost the corporation $3,500.

In other business the board:

  • Heard a proposal on a Project ADAM cardiac arrest program program at the high school

  • Approved the Out of State FFA trip to Kings Island on May 26, 2022

  • Approved the purchase of 4 buses from the state bid list. The cost of these purchases are still undetermined. In addition, the buses will not be available until January 2023

The only public comment for the Thursday evenings meeting came from Scott King who requested the agenda included the cost of the proposals submitted to the school board. During school board meetings the cost of the contracts and purchases are not disclosed in the public meeting of the school board.
