Grant T. Gibson, Bloomington was arrested on October 2, 2023 by Bedford Police Department on charges of two counts dissemination of Matter harmful to minor, and official misconduct.
Gibson's initial hearing was held on Wednesday with a Omnibus Court date on December 17, 2023. a jury trial is scheduled for April 17, 2024 at 8:30 am.
Original story : BEDFORD - OCTOBER 2, 2022 - The Bedford Police Department's investigation into a former Bedford Middle School staff member's conduct have ended with an arrest.
Grant T. Gibson was arrested today after a warrant was issued for his arrest for disseminating matter harmful to a minor and official misconduct. Both are Level- 6 Felonies.
Gibson was hired August 18th this year as a inclusion aide to the Bedford Middle School.
On September 21, 2023 and September 22,2023 Gibson sent inappropriate and photos containing nudity to Bedford Middle School students. On September 22, the North Lawrence Community School Corporation became aware of it and placed Gibson on administrative leave and was escorted off the property by the School Resource Officer.
Gibson was terminated last week by North Lawrence Community School Corporation.
An investigation was launched by the Bedford Police Detective Division. The detectives from parents of the juveniles that received the photos. Detectives collected the images that the students received.
A search warrant for his residence was obtained on September 29th and was executed today.
