MULTIPLE POLICE AGENCIES RESPOND TO NASHVILLE FOR BOMB THREAT

NASHVILLE INDIANA - DECEMBER 17, 2022 - On December 16th, 2022, at approximately 3:30pm Brown County Dispatch received a phone call from an individual stating that they had placed multiple bombs inside and outside of the Out of the Ordinary and Hickory Bar Restaurant (61 South Van Buren Street).



Multiple Law Enforcement Officers with the Nashville Police Department, Brown County Sheriff’s Department, and Indiana Department of Natural Resources responded to the area.

The immediate area was evacuated, and a secure perimeter was put in place.


The individual making the threats also stated that he was watching over the scene nearby with a sniper rifle and threatened to shoot law enforcement officers.


The Indiana State Police Bomb Squad and the Federal Bureau of Investigation was requested. Once on scene the Indiana State Police Bomb dogs made a sweep of the area.

After a lengthy and thorough investigation, it was founded to be a false alarm. The individual was using a live view street camera to watch the incident take place while he was actively making the threats..


" We would like to thank all of the responding agencies for their involvement and for the quick response time. This incident is still considered an ongoing investigation, however we do not believe that there is any immediate danger to the general public,"
