Motor home lands outside a home on Williams Road Friday morning

BEDFORD - APRIL 8, 2023 - A motor Home landed outside a home Friday morning following a crash in the 2300 block of Williams Road.



The accident happened around 1:40 am Friday morning according to reports.


According to initial reports the motor home was traveling at a high rate of speed on Indiana State Road 450 headed towards Williams.


The vehicle went off the roadway over both travel lanes, going down an embankment more than 400 feet striking a utility pole and taking a transformer down; which caused a power outage for several hours.



The RV after going over the embankment, and landing in outside of home, and causing a retaining wall to come through a garage window and damaging the garage door track.


The accident is being investigated by the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department with a accident report unavailable at this time.


The driver of the vehicle did not want to be transported to the hospital, after receiving cuts to the person's legs.

The driver taken to the Lawrence County Jail following the accident.


Members of the Indian Creek Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Duke Energy responded to the scene.
