More than 89 Acres burn in large fire in Orange County earlier this month
ORANGE COUNTY - NOVEMBER 20, 2023 - More than 89 acres burned in a large brush and woods fire in Orange County on November 10th.

The fire was located on Log Creek Road near Unionville Road with a landowner burning a brush pile during windy and dry conditions. The fire quickly spread and the Paoli and Southeast Township Volunteer Fire Departments asked for additional help.
Every fire department in Orange County as well as the U.S. Forest Service spent hours fighting the fire.

Dry conditions have prompted 26 burn bans across Indiana and remains in effect in Lawrence County and the Town Oolitic this time.
