Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department takes delivery of Rescue 7
MITCHELL - SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 - Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of a 2022 Dodge Ram 3500 fire truck on Wednesday night. The radio designation for the new unit is Rescue 7.

Thanks to the recent donation by Lehigh - Hanson Cement Company of $40,000 the department is pleased to add this piece of equipment to its fleet.

Lehigh Cement donated funds of $40,000 to both Mitchell Volunteer Fire Department and Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department.
The donation by the company was to help both departments with the purchase of emergency rescue equipment, new rescue/ HazMat vehicle.
With the K4 project almost complete at the plant to being finished, the timing of the new upgrade is perfect for future emergency responses at the plant and areas surrounding the plant.
