Brian Pugh, Mitchell School bus driver told the school board members that one day a school teacher told him that a parent would be meeting him at a bus stop about a student being bullied on the school bus.

"That should never happen, I will be willing to meet the parent or school staff at the school for any issue or concern but at the school office," said Pugh.

According to Pugh, that parent met him at the bus stop with the parent being a paramedic, and in uniform proceeded to come on the school bus with a pistol on his side.

The bus driver told him to get off the bus, but the situation could have been a different situation had the parent had ill intentions.

Pugh addressed dangers at bus stops as well as the loading and unloading at the three schools in Mitchell and many other concerns that he felt the corporation should address.

" We take all bus safety seriously. In Mitchell we are blessed with great bus drivers. I will put our group up against anybody as they take care of our kids. I appreciate the comments that was made tonight and hearing ideas to improve safety," said Dr. Brent Comer Mitchell Community School Corporation.

The school board took his concerns under advisement.
