MITCEHELL - SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 - Mitchell Police Department is investigating an incident in the 500 block of South 6th Street.

Around 3:15 p.m. Mitchell Police officers were called to the location reference an argument, with shots fired from a gun.
It is reported that one person was placed in custody. There were no reports of any injuries at this time.
The incident is still under investigation and complete details of the event is not yet available. There is no threats to the public and the incident is under control at this time.
Lawrence County Sheriff's Department assisted at the scene.
