MITCHELL - NOVEMBER 18, 2022 - Mitchell High School for being among 21 Hoosier schools recently designated as a Purple Star School. This honor goes to schools showing a commitment to service members, veterans, and students and families connected to our nation's military.
To earn this distinction, schools must have a point of contact for service members, veterans and military families, host an annual military program and maintain a public display honoring service members. The Purple Star status is valid for three years. [Check out all 2022 Purple Star Schools here.] Now, Mitchell joins the over 60 Indiana schools awarded this honor. Thank you to all the schools that celebrate those who protect this great country, and work hard to provide recognition and resources for service members, veterans, and students and families.
