The evening was an energized evening with the first time the football players got to play on a new turf field.

" The results were shown this evening, the players were energized to get home, these kids played their tails off. The players really worked hard for us. We are a full spread offense now, throwing the ball around a lot," said Mitchell's Kevin Kling

In looking at this year's football season Kling says "Our season will go as far as these kids want to work"

The Mitchell Blue Jackets had three on side recoveries in the first quarter of play. " The biggest thing is when we watched Crawford County on film their deepest runners have some speed. They can get it downhill and get it going. They start to touch it on the front row, we jumped on the ball,"

" Our players knew what the game plan going into this game. We wanted to alleviate the backend pressure they wanted to give us, and really try to get that ball in the second row. Things really bounced our way,"

" We really needed this win, winning is the biggest remedy, it proves to them what we are saying when you come together and doing things together and setting goals. And having consistency in hardworking practices," Kling concluded.

Ethan Turner was able to several touchdowns throughout the evening with great backup from his teammates to secure the win for the night.

The Mitchell Bluejackets will be a fun team to watch this season, with many more games going into the win column.
