AVOCA - NOVMEMBER - 8, 2022 - The Marshall Township Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 400 block of Benham Lane in Avoca.
The call reporting the fire came in at 5:36 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The Oolitic Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched as automatic mutual aid but was later disregarded while responding to the fire. A small shed apparently caught fire and was completely destroyed by the flames.
At this time the cause of the fire is unknown. Lawrence County Zephyr have not been able to make contact with fire officials at this time. At the time of this report the fire department is still on scene.
