MONROE COUNTY - ( March 30, 2022) - Leonard Springs Road is now open following a structure fire at 3111 Leonard Springs Road.
The roadway was opened around 12:30 a.m. with Monroe County Sheriff's Department, Bloomington Police Department and Indiana State Police Department working to keep the roadway safe around the fire scene.
Several hose lines were deployed across the streets to supply water from hydrants to fire engines and ladder trucks fighting the fire.
Lawrence County Zephyr will update the story on the fire when more information becomes available. IU Lifeline Ambulance Service Bloomington also responded to the scene with reports of at least one firefighter treated at the scene, and one person treated at the scene due to a medical condition.
The Monroe County Coroner's office has also been requested at the scene.
