MITCHELL - JULY 2, 2022 - The Lawrence County Sherfiff's Department is investigating a fatal traffic accident this morning that occurred in the 1400 block of Stonington Road.

One person was killed in the the early morning accident.
No other information is available at this time, pending notification of family members and the investigation of the accident is still ongoing.
The accident was reported at 8:10 a.m. reporting a vehicle rolled several times.
Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Bedford Fire Department, IU Health Ambulance Service, Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department, Lawrence County Coroners Office, and Mikels Towing responded to the accident.
