LAWRENCE COUNTY - MAY 25, 2022 - Lawrence County Prosecutor provided the Lawrence County Council members an update on his office.

Prosecutor Arp told council members they are a few vacancies in his office which include a deputy prosecutor, victims advocate.
The department is needing a new vehicle. A 2012, Cheverolet Malibu Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has provided is needing more work. The department has already put several dollars in repairs and maintenance for the vehicle. The Lawrence County Council took the matter under advisement.
The vehicle has 92,311 miles, leaky trunk latch, body damage with dents, dings/ scratches, and check engine light with diagnosis of a catalytic converter issue.
The vehicle is being used by the Prosecutor's office investigator who is sworn law enforcement officer.
The investigator responds to incidents with the police department to assist in their investigations as in the case of two attempted murder cases.
