Lawrence County Election Board Tests Voting Machines for Upcoming Primary Election

LAWRENCE COUNTY - (March 24, 2022) - The Lawrence County Election board tested the voting machines for upcoming Primary Election on Thursday morning.

The election board consists of John Williams Jr. (R) Republican, Don Henderson, (D) Democrat, and Billie Tumey Lawrence County Clerk.

There will be up to 59 voting machines that may be used for the election. Some of the 59 machines are back-up machines. There are a total of 36 ballots for different township ballots.



Early voting will begin April 5th -29th at the Lawrence County Voter Registration located at the Lawrence County Courthouse Plaza. The Lawrence County Courthouse Plaza is located at 918 16th Street, in Bedford.


The hours of early voting will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from April 5th - April 29th.


Saturday voting on April 23rd and 30th, with voting taking place on Saturdays both at the Lawrence County Courthouse and Mitchell Community Center from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.


May 2nd from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Lawrence County Courthouse Plaza.


Election Day May 3rd: Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
