Lawrence County Council Cancels Meeting on Salaries Tuesday - Regular Meeting Still Scheduled
LAWRENCE COUNTY - SEPTEMBER 26, 2022 - The Lawrence County Council has cancelled its meeting 6:00 p.m. that was scheduled to discuss salaries for employees and elected leaders.

This would have been the third meeting scheduled by the Lawrence County Council to discuss the issue. A 3 -3 vote last week, killed the motion by Lawrence County Council member Jeff Lyton and seconded by Julie Heweston to give both employees and elected leaders a 3 % raise. Julie Chase voted in favor of the motion.
However, Lawrence County President Scott Smith, Rick Butterfield, and Mike Wright voting against the raises. Janie "Craig" Chenault was attending a meeting in California and did not attend the last meeting when the vote was taken.
The regular scheduled Lawrence County Council meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m.
