Lawrence County Council Approves Local Income Tax Application for Revenue to Local VFD's

LAWRENCE COUNTY - AUGUST 26, 2022 - The Lawrence County Council approved the Local Income Tax Revenue fund applications to eight volunteer fire departments on Tuesday for the 2023 Budget year.

The Local Income Tax Funds for the Lawrence County Fire Territory will have to be approved in 2024 by a special resolution when the Lawrence County Fire Territory will become operational. For the 2023 Budget cycle Shawswick Township will be given $3,717.33 for providing fire protection to Guthrie Township, and $38,176.75 for providing fire protection to Shawswick Township.

  • Marion Township VFD - $18,654.85

  • Marion Township VFD for Bono Township - $1,020.07

  • Marshall Township VFD - $10,588.94

  • Perry Township VFD - $4,032

  • Pleasant Run Township VFD - $5,791.28

  • Shawswick Township VFD - $38,176.75

  • Shawswick Township VFD for Guthrie Township - $3,713.33

  • Spice Valley Township - Indian Creek and Huron VFD - $5,831.65
