Lawrence County Brings in $36.2 Million in Property Taxes
LAWRENCE COUNTY - (January 18, 2022) - During the yearly financial report this morning Lawrence County Treasurer Jody Edwards reports the county brought in $36.2 Million dollars. The county was owed $38 Million in property taxes.
Rodney Fish was elected president, Wally Branham vice-president, and Dustin Gabhart Treasurer of the finance committee.
Interest on the accounts brought in $275,482.01 for the year. Interest rates are very low at this time. Interest rates in 2020 was at 2 percent and now the certificates of deposit are only earning interest at .52 percent.
