July 27th is First Day to File for School Board Races

LAWRENCE COUNTY - JUNE 2, 2022 - Candidates can begin filing for school board races on July 27, 2022.

North Lawrence Community Schools Districts 1, 2, 3, 5 are up re-election

Mitchell Community School Board District 2 is up for re-election this year

• North Lawrence Community School Board races up for election include Districts 1, 2, 3, 5

• Mitchell Community School Board race - District 2

School board races are non-partisan seats, and board members serve for four-year terms. To be nominated for school board races, candidates are required to file a petition with the county clerk's office, which must include signatures of 10 registered voters in their same district.
