Jessica Allen Sworn in as Next Lawrence County Recorder

LAWRENCE COUNTY - JULY 25, 2022 - Jessica Allen was sworn in as the next Lawrence County Recorder this morning in Lawrence County Circuit Court by Judge Nathan Nikirk.

Prior to the swearing in of Allen, Judge Nikirk gave a brief history lesson on the Indiana State Constitution. Nikirk noting that the Recorder was the first constitutional position written into the state constitution of 1816 protecting property rights.

Jessica Allen was appointed the position following the death of Myron Rainey and a Republican Caucus was held Saturday at Stone Gate Arts & Education Center to choose his successor.
