Updated: INMATE WALKS AWAY FROM WORK DETAIL
JENNINGS COUNTY - ( December 18,2021) Update: Mr. Mitchell is in custody.
Original story :On 12/18/2021, at approximately 4:50 PM, deputies were notified by Rose Acres Farms personnel that an inmate worker assigned to a work crew at Rose Acres was unaccounted for and missing.
Deputies responded to Rose Acres and were able to observe video surveillance from the facility that showed Jeremy Mitchell running to a vehicle, not owned by Mitchell, that was parked in the employee parking lot and driving off in the vehicle.

Jermey Mitchell Leaves Work Release Program in Jennings County
The inmate is identified as 38 year old Jeremy W. Mitchell, a white male, 5’11”, 150 lbs, red hair, blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a tan jump suit and white T-shirt.
The vehicle Mitchell took is described as a 2011 charcoal grey Toyota Tacoma TRD, bearing Indiana license plate SDC588. The vehicle is described to have off road tires with black rims and grey stripes on the rims. Mitchell’s direction of travel or destination is unknown.
Jeremy Mitchell has been incarcerated in the Jennings County Jail since June 13, 2021, on the charges of; possession of Methamphetamine, public intoxication and possession of paraphernalia.
