Indiana State Police Request Help - Vehicle Strikes Person and Leaves the Scene

JACKSON COUNTY - (February 4, 2022) - Indiana State Police asking for public's help in locating a vehicle that struck a pedestrian this afternoon on the north side of Seymour, Indiana.*



This afternoon, at approximately 4:00 pm, the Indiana State Police began investigating a crash where a pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of County Road 700 North and County Road 875 East, just north of Seymour, Indiana. The victim was transported to Schneck Medical Center in Seymour for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim stated that he was walking near the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle. He stated that he thought the vehicle was possibly a silver Chevrolet Impala. After the vehicle struck him, it continued traveling northbound on County Road 875 East, passed Trinity Lutheran High School.
