Honoring Lawrence County's Law Enforcement Officers Who Died in the Line of Duty
LAWRENCE COUNTY - MAY 16, 2022 - National Police Week is set aside to honor officers who have fallen in the Line of Duty.
Lawrence County Zephyr would like to honor the following police officers who died in the Line of Duty in Lawrence County.
These include the following:
George J. Carney - Bedford Police Department - January 20, 1875
Pinkey F. Bough - Oolitic Town Marshall - September 23, 1922
Willliam H. Sutherlin - Mitchell Police Department - March 7, 1923
George W. Bush - Mitchell Police Department - October 14, 1935
Robert C. Gillespie - Indiana State Police - June 8, 1962
George E. Stillman - Mitchell Police Department - September 7, 1965
Karl E. Kelley - Indiana Department of Natural Resources - April 17, 1998
