Heath Hawkins will seek Bedford City Council at large seat
"Two years ago I chose to get involved in the local political environment by taking on the role of Lawrence County Republican Party Chairman, and I would like to make further effort to work on the city's behalf on the Bedford City Council. This city gave myself and my family a strong foundation to build our lives upon, and I hope to do my part in ensuring that Bedford continues to be a great place to live and thrive for my daughter and the rest of the families in our great community. I care deeply about Bedford being a safe, healthy and inspiring place for my young daughter to grow and excel. Personally, growing up around, and eventually being a part of a local family business, I also care deeply about Bedford being a welcoming community that businesses and entrepreneurs can achieve great success within. I look forward to sharing my vision for Bedford, and listening and learning from voters about the issues that concern them," said Hawkins.
Along with currently serving as the Lawrence County Republican Party Chairman, Hawkins also served as Vice President on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County, member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Bedford, and Hawkins is a Sales and Operations Manager at Hawkins Bailey Warehouse in Bedford. Hawkins graduated with BA in Political Science from the University of Louisville and am a proud alumnus of Bedford North Lawrence High School.
